Some of our tutors are overcoming their natural shyness and have provided the following personal data. The next step will be pictures...

Dick Richards: I’m an elderly, grumpy male with a delight in tutoring Picasa or assisting with Email and Internet. Can do disc burning and Computer Housekeeping maintenance.

Roy Pyle: I enjoy using Open Office Software (OO) for workaday things like Word Processing levels 1 and 2 with OO Writer, Spreadsheets using OO Calc.
I spend a lot of time using creative applications like Desk Top Publishing with Scribus; especially cards for every occasion, and Presentations with MS PowerPoint or OO Impress.
My involvement with Windows includes Files and Folders (XP and Vista),
Windows Accessories and Keyboard shortcuts in Microsoft and Open Office.

Frances Carrucan: I use my computer mostly for word processing, email and internet and displaying my photos. I like teaching these subjects and always learn something new from the class. I must be an excellent teacher because I'm such a slow learner; I have to be told key by key and then can show students the exact process.

Michael McMahon: My particular interests in tutoring are using MS Word (2003 or 2010) and Spreadsheets (MS EXCEL). I have made the club’s Files & Folders course my own.
I will always help with Publisher, Introduction To Vista and Getting Started. In fact, if I am given time to work through the manual I will try most things. Even Windows 7 if we can get the handbook organised. (But not Open Office.)

Doug Turner: I’m always learning new things with Word-processing and Spreadsheet applications, but enjoy passing on the things that I have learnt. I prefer Microsoft Office applications because I use them all the time and can cope with levels 1 and 2.
The curiosities and marvels of MS Operating systems are always good subjects to put over to members, and I take delight in sharing our gadgets – putting vinyl records and tape to a CD and scanning slides and negatives to the computer.

Pam Hamblin: Hi, I’m new to the tutoring world, but am happy to be an assistant tutor with Microsoft applications.

Peter Ashley: I suppose that I’m not very adventurous but I will tutor both M.S.Word and OO Writer to all levels. It’s a pity that there is not a great deal of interest in these applications at the medium skill level but I will take a class of 1 or 2 students with a mix of levels. It would be great to have a class 5 or 6 with a mix of the two applications and /or levels. Wednesday is my day.

Les Howe: I am happy to tutor "Getting Started" in September (but will not be able to do so in either October nor November) I’m keen to assist in "Files & Folders" and investigate "Computer Housekeeping" and Scanning as well as burning disks and updating machines, which I know is needed – in the role of general helper.
Afternoons are out for the next couple of months.
